Federal law (the Shipping Act of 1984) requires International Ocean Freight Transportation Intermediaries to be licensed and bonded. Accepting cargo by unlicensed OTI - International shipping companies constitutes a violation of the Shipping Act. Knowing and willful violations of the Shipping Act carry a possible civil penalty of up to $30,000 PER occurrence.

Trans Caribe as a licensed and bonded U.S. OTI: Ocean Freight Forwarder (International Shipping Company) held responsible for NOT providing service to unlicensed international transportation companies (rogue movers, unlicensed international moving companies etc). In order to do so, all shippers when booking an international ocean freight shipment with us, must confirm that they are NOT an unlicensed International Ocean Freight Shiping Intermediary and DO NOT arrange international sea freight shipments for international shippers unless operating under an OTI (Ocean Freight Forwarder or NVOCC) license.

Falsification of this statement is considered as an attempt to violate the Shipping Act. Information about the attempt along with obtained information about the unlicensed international shipping companies (rogue movers, unlicensed international moving companies) will be forwarded to the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission in order to punish the international shipping company for its illegal activity on providing sea freight service.

In our website and in our online ocean freight calculator we may use "cookie" technology to track or record information about our web site visitors that concern of sea freight service from an international transportation company. Trans Caribe requires the use of "cookie" technology so that we will present the correct information to users as they browse our website and employ our online ocean freight calculator.
